1. If you elevate your head by either adding extra pillows or sleeping on thicker ones, this may allow a more free flow of air reducing your snoring. Constricted air ways are the leading cause of snoring as the air must be pushed more forcefully for breathing to take place, thus making you snore. 2. Avoid drinking dairy products shortly before going to bed as it may cause mucus to build up and cause you to snore more. This is a big one, I can't tell you how much this little tip helped me in kicking my snoring problem. 3. Losing weight can also free up some space in your air passageway, reducing snoring. 4. Sleeping on your side instead of your back may reduce snoring. 5. Avoid smoking right before bed because it causes air passageway inflammation. 6. Buy a humidifier, it will reduce congestion and moisturize your throat. 7. Taking a little bit of honey before you go to bed may reduce your problem greatly. These are 7 effective tips that will help you get rid of your snoring problem. Hopefully this helps you get rid of the embarrassment that can come associated with snoring. I know that this used to be a horrible problem for me and I used to get embarrassed to even sleep in the same room as friends. |
